California Firestorms

Do Your Part is helping where needed and requested. Our sincerest appreciation goes out to the Los Angeles City and Orange County Firefighters, along with the many other fire departments statewide that are lending their support. We also want to thank the Los Angeles Police, Sherriff's Department and Animal Control Services who are working in conjunction with fire crews. Without these fine, selfless public servants, many lives and structures would have been lost and for this, we owe them a debt of gratitude. As progress is being made to contain the Sayre Fire, Do Your Part will continue to provide assistance and be on call to provide community support.

 

CERT training

DYP personnel are currently involved in CERT training and taking an active part in the earthquake preparedness in California.

 

Organized Response Network

DYP is working on coordination of first responders and long term recovery organizations such that they are better able to come together during a disaster. We are presently in the process of drafting guidelines intended to maximize the efficiency with which organizations interact, making it possible for all organizations to more effectively work with each other and cover all communities in need.
